OzBurma Inc is a registered, not for profit, Christian based charity, formed in 2008. It was developed by Mark and Ruth Brown of Mornington, Australia and a group of friends from New Peninsula Baptist Church.
The group was formed with the express purpose of working with aid organizations and local churches that support both the spread of the Christian message of hope and restoration and to provide financial support and resources for Myanmar's “poorest of the poor”.
Over the last decade the OzBurma team has raised funds for emergency relief, built kindergartens and children’s homes, established clean water systems, run medical clinics and provided ongoing financial and prayerful support for Christian aid workers.
The organisation has no paid employees and is run by volunteers to keep operational costs to a minimum.
OzBurma is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not For Profits Commission (ABN 97780776659) and holds DGR (tax deductible) and Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) status with the Australian Taxation Office.

The OzBurma team visits Myanmar annually to provide encouragement to our Myanmar partners and to review and report on aid projects funded in Myanmar. Our work on the ground in Myanmar is implemented by our major partner, "Operation Mobilisation Myanmar" (OMM). They assist us in ensuring accountability for our donors on the projects completed and in identifying any new needs.
